Schedule for Jan-Jun, 2010
Posted Dec 13, 2009
We are tremendously excited about what will be happening at the Coffeehouse this year. We are stretching a bit and ask that you would, too. Please ask friends, use our venue as a place to continue a dialogue with friends, family and co-workers about what it means to live a life of faith. Though we have been at it since 1991, we want new things to take place and need you to be willing to come along with us. Also, please keep the Coffeehouse and those who will come in your prayers. Thank you for your amazing support over the years. We couldn't do it without you.
1/30/10 Charlie Hall, Passion worship leader and writer of songs like Give Us Clean Hands and Marvelous Light, to name a few. A 2:00PM workshop on worship & the arts will take place, too. Please call 203-748-4972 to reserve a spot at the afternoon workshop.
2/20/10 Lamont Hiebert of Ten Shekel Shirt - singer/songwriter/abolitionist. Jonny Rodgers of Mighty Purple will accompany Lamont on electric guitar
3/20/10 Andrew Osenga* of The Normals, Caedmon's Call and the Behold the Lamb Tour with Andrew Peterson (*tentative)
4/17/10 Mitch McVicker. Mitch played with Rich Mullins in the Ragamuffin Band and has a Dove Award to his credit. More importantly, Mitch will welcome you, make you laugh and challenge us to a deeper relationship with God and a greater connection to the world's need for us to reflect that relationship.
5/22/10 Jason Gray is a gifted singer/songwriter/storyteller. In his CD All The Lovely Losers he spoke of brokenness. His most recent CD, Everything Sad Is Coming Untrue deals with confession. Jason is funny and through his stories is a really good teacher. You won't even notice you are being taught until after you stop laughing. Caleb Hawley will open.
6/19/10 Maeve w/ guest Ben Deem. Maeve is 3 women who together make more music with their voices than most bands make with amplified instruments. Ben Deem has been a favorite at the last two open mic nights.
